Dry Needling

- Dry needling involves inserting an acupuncture needle into a tight or sore muscle or along a neurologic pathway to stimulate a healing response. The needle changes the muscle’s physiology with increased blood flow and oxygenation to the tissues, allowing for relaxation. Insertion of the dry needle can also stimulate a local analgesic effect, or pain relief. It can be an effective method to address long-standing muscle pain, joint pain or nerve pain.
